Nos vemos en el Club 45

Me hago eco de una noticia interesante para los amantes de la cultura pop de los años 60. Alejandro Diez (ex líder de Los Flechazos, ahora al frente de Cooper) está a punto de publicar un libro titulado Club 45: 90 canciones de la era Pop para mods y jetsetters.

Se trata de un recorrido musical a través de 90 canciones que resumen de alguna manera la mejor época de eso que conocemos como música pop. El libro es un homenaje a los añorados singles de 45 rpm. Si Alex Diez ha recopilado 90 canciones no es por casualidad, son las que tendrían 45 singles grabados por los dos lados.

El autor saca brillo a sus conocimientos para ilustrarnos con todo lujo de detalles, memorabilia incluida, en un viaje con parada en el rhythm’n’blues, el beat, el pop-art, el soul, el freakbeat, la psicodelia… Pero también, en los estudios de grabación, en las calles que frecuentaron los protagonistas de la explosión beat, los lugares y las canciones donde se esconden las auténticas raíces de la cultura pop.
